Captain's Log           by Paul Wadehra, Board President

Hi Parents & Swimmers,

GREAT JOB by our swimmers at Divisionals and Invitationals. So many time improvements and Invitational Qualifiers!

As usual Armada records were broken this week. More than the usual number were broken though!

At the Divisional and Invitational Meets, Demi Waworuntu broke her own record in the 100 IM, Efaine Chang broke a nine-year old record in the 100 IM, Jake Tolfa broke a 12-year old record in the butterfly, and Tucker Lewis broke his own records in the 100 Free and 100 IM. The Girls 9-10 freestyle relay team of Anaya Carter, Rachel Schulze, Shelby Harper, and Demi Waworuntu broke their own record, and they also broke the medley relay record which was set last year. Last but not least, the Boys 9-10 team of Andrew Taffinder, Keegan Gavin, Ethan Wu, and Jake Tolfa broke the four-year old Freestyle Relay record. Whew!

But our swimmers didn't stop breaking records there. At the Invitational met the next day, Tucker Lewis broke the 50 Free and 50 Fly records, and Efaine Chang broke the 50 Breast and 100 IM records! Nice job!

We had more than our share of Divisional High Point Trophy winners, swimmers who placed first, second, or third in points scored for Armada at the Divisional Meet.

At the Invitational Meet, we had a number of Invitational Medalists, swimmers who placed first, second, or third, quite an accomplishment in this circuit-wide meet.

The Folder Boxes with Ribbons are at the pool in the lifeguard office.

I hope you all had an enjoyable season. Be on the lookout for a Parent Survey which you will be receiving shortly. The board would be privileged to have your feedback.

Email me any time with questions at board@wbarmada.org. For complete team information, visit wellsbranch.swimtopia.com.

See you next May!

Coach's Corner           by Alex Fedorov, Head Coach

Hello Everyone,

I want to thank everyone for all the support during the season. This season we saw many new Invitational Qualifiers and saw many records go down. We had many new swimmers to the team that learned quickly how to swim. I saw a drive and determination to be the best from many young athletes.

I am proud of the Armada Swim Team. Many competed well when it counted at the end of the season. Overall, our performance was exceptional and beyond what I expected. We had many determined racers. I saw fire in the eyes of many racers, especially at the end of Divisionals.

I am sad to see our seniors leave; they will be sorely missed. I would like to give each one of you a special thank you for your dedication and determination through your many years of swimming with Armada. I was honored to coach you this season.

Our team was competitive this year as usual and many swimmers were pushed to reach their full potential in a short time. I hope everyone continues that mentality through life; always strive to be the best that you can be! We had many changes this year and changes that were for the best

Coach Alex
